IBSS was awarded a contract with the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA), Office of Policy Coordination and Management (OPCM), Information Technology Division (ITD) to provide cybersecurity consulting services to analyze alternatives and engineering approaches that define and enable information and technology security solutions for NTIA.
The NTIA, located within the Department of Commerce, is the Executive Branch agency that is principally responsible by law for advising the President on telecommunications and information policy issues.
The services IBSS will provide to NTIA include consultation and formulation of methods to implement strategies and policy for the preparation, detection, containment, eradication and recovery of cybersecurity threats, events and incidents.
IBSS will also provide cybersecurity expertise for the NTIA ITD to:
- Establish and satisfy complex system-wide information security requirements by analyzing user, policy, regulatory, and resource demands.
- Support customers at the highest levels in developing and implementing doctrine and policies.
- Apply know-how to government and commercial standard user systems and dedicated unique purpose systems requiring specialized security features and procedures.
- Assess and evaluate NTIA’s current IT Security architecture and identify gaps or redundancies.
- Recommend solutions to fill the gaps and improve NTIA’s IT security posture.
IBSS is pleased to expand service delivery into NTIA, thus assisting NTIA in expanding broadband Internet access and adoption in America, expanding the use of spectrum by all users, and ensuring that the Internet remains an engine for continued innovation and economic growth.
