Under a new task award, IBSS will provide Budget and Administrative Support services to NOAA Fisheries’s Pacific Islands Regional Office (PIRO) Protected Species Division (PRD).
PIRO PRD is responsible for protecting marine mammals and recovering endangered and threatened species in the Pacific Islands Region in compliance with the Endangered Species Act (ESA) and Marine Mammal Protection Act (MMPA). IBSS’s support will help PRD plan, budget, and manage species recovery projects, critical habitat designations, and other conservation and management activities that promote healthy and sustainable living marine resource populations endemic to the region.
