IBSS was awarded a task with NOAA Office of the Under Secretary, Senior Advisor for Climate to provide administrative assistance.
The Senior Advisor for Climate is responsible for providing strategic advice and direction within NOAA to enable the agency to align, integrate, and extend its capabilities to best provide the climate services needed to address the climate challenge. The Senior Advisor represents NOAA’s equities in whole-of-government efforts to transform the economy and achieve U.S. climate goals to reduce emissions and stabilize global temperature by mid-century.
IBSS will support the Office of the Under Secretary, Senior Advisor for Climate, by providing the following services:
- Drafting correspondence
- Scheduling appointments
- Organizing and maintaining paper and electronic files
- Providing information to callers
- Making domestic and international travel arrangements
Our services will enable the Senior Advisor for Climate to focus on mission-critical activities that impact weather forecasts, severe storm warnings, and climate monitoring to advance the agency’s ability to predict and respond to changes in climate and other environmental challenges that imperil Earth’s natural resources, human life, and economic vitality.
Because of the critical role the Senior Advisor for Climate plays within NOAA and across the Federal Government, the support IBSS provides will be essential to the day-to-day function of the office.
