Silver Spring, MD February 2023:
IBSS was awarded a task with NOAA’s Office of Sustainable Fisheries (OSF) to provide Atlantic Highly Migratory Species Electronic Monitoring and Installation Program Support Services.
OSF works to ensure U.S. fisheries continue to be sustainably managed and to ensure the safety of seafood sold in the nation.
IBSS will support OSF by providing the following services:
- Support the primary goal of comparing electronic monitoring (EM) data with vessel monitoring systems (VMS) and logbook reporting data
- Conduct installations
- Train vessel operators to use EM systems
- Manage video data collection
- Review and analyze EM data
