IBSS is pleased to announce a contract award with the non-profit Atlantic Coastal Cooperative Statistics Program (ACCSP) to provide a Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) compliance/certification audit. The objective of the assessment is to assess the current state of the information security program and recommend a strategic approach with actionable tasks to align its security program with the NIST 800-53 and 800-171 compliance requirements.

The mission of the ACCSP is to be a cooperative state-federal program to design, implement, and conduct marine fisheries statistics data collection programs and to integrate those data into a single data management system that will meet the needs of fishery managers, scientists, and fishermen. ACCSP is the principal source of marine fishery statistics for the Atlantic Coast and maintains the Atlantic Coast Fisheries Data Collection Standards, which defines policies, data collection, and data management standards for ACCSP.

For over two decades, Federal clients have relied on IBSS for Risk Management services, such as the design, implementation, optimization, and maintenance of secure solutions to 21st-century information security challenges for global infrastructure operations. IBSS currently serves NOAA’s enterprise security requirements through tasks with the NOAA Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO), including Enterprise-Wide Security Service Compliance (EWSSC) and Identity Credential and Access Management (ICAM).

IBSS is pleased to assist ACCSP in undertaking the initiative to develop and implement comprehensive information security and privacy program to enable the organization to achieve compliance with FISMA and industry best practices.
