On February 19, 2020, Zachary Goldstein, NOAA CIO, presented a team award, as well as awards to the eight individual team members, who recently completed the NOAA ICAM migration. The project was on the CIO Council’s priority, and the team worked diligently over the past two years to make it a success.
When NOAA required a robust, cost-effective solution to replace legacy directory services and comply with HSPD-12 and CDM mandates, IBSS thoroughly evaluated alternatives for a cost-effective solution for the high visibility enterprise Identity, Credentialing, and Access Management (ICAM) project. The NOAA ICAM solution integrates 5 disparate legacy identity sources into a single master with real-time synchronization. It supports integration with 300+ NOAA mission and business applications for 25,000 users providing Single Sign On (SSO) and use of Personal Identity Verification (PIV) credentials for privileged and non-privileged access.
