IBSS was awarded a two year contract to maintain maximum security for the OCIO Network Operations Center which ensures connectivity within the campus backbone network, the metropolitan area connections, NOAA’s Internet connections in the Washington metropolitan area, some wide-area network connections, and connections with NOAA working partners (e.g. government agencies, research organizations, and electronic commerce partners). IBSS will be responsible for several functions to include: project management, organizational and architectural functions, fault management, security management, configuration and performance management.
